About this home
The lighthouse tower has been converted to house the sleeping accommodation whilst the main living space and garden room are at ground level.
The Garden Room is a contemporary, open-plan space, including a stainless steel kitchen with skylight views of the tower. There is an Ercol dining table and chairs to seat ten, a wood-burning stove, and a comfortable seating area with a picture window facing the garden.
Folding doors open onto the cedar terrace and mature garden. The Garden Room also has laundry facilities, a shower room and a WC.
The lighthouse tower’s cantilevered staircase leads to a room on each of the floors, with a new steel and glass lantern at the summit.
The ground floor houses a living room with a stone circular floor. Stairs lead up to the first-floor bedroom, containing four purpose-made curved timber bunks (singles). The room has timber panelling and a picture window with a sea view.
The second floor houses a double bedroom, with rivet steel beams, curved sliding walls and three windows offering views across the surrounding land and sea.
The third floor was originally the lighthouse keeper’s equipment room, and has been converted into the Library. Curved bookshelves line the walls, and a staircase provides access to the former lantern room above.
The dramatic Lantern Room at the top of the tower, accessed via a near-vertical staircase, has a wrap-around seating area with panoramic views of the Norfolk countryside, the sandy beach and the North Sea beyond.
From here, space-saving stairs lead up to a sleeping platform (with a double bed), which also has 360-degree views.
Please note that there is one bathroom and one shower room, both of which are situated on the ground floor, and some of the stairs are very steep, so the lighthouse is not suitable for those with mobility issues or very young children.
There is parking available for two cars.
