About this home
Nestled amongst the trees, on the foreshore of the picturesque Salcombe and Kingsbridge estuary, this stunning, wooden-clad, newly-built boathouse is the ideal place to retreat and enjoy the spectacular waterways of South Devon.
This upside-down home places a fire lit living area above the bedroom, where the en-suite bathtub enjoys a framed view of the creek, but blackout blinds encourage lie-ins.
Guests experience the magic of this wonderful location from the moment they leave the designated parking spot and take the short stroll along the path, through the trees, to this lovely property.
Enter directly into the first floor level and prepare for the jaw-dropping panoramic vista on display through the wall of glass doors which dominate one side of the stylish open plan living and dining area.
The bedroom has a partially open-plan en-suite bathroom with minimal privacy, but the shower is located in an adjoining room. The toilet is separate.
With direct water access, the boathouse comes with a three seater kayak, allowing guests to discover creeks and river beaches inaccessible by foot.
This beautiful property in this stunning location can be enjoyed at all times of the year. When the air turns chilly, or should a squall blow in, hunker down on the velvet sofa by the wood burning fire, while watching the dramatic skies.
Not far from East Portlemouth Beach, hidden gems can be found along the foreshore while walking your dog.
Your host provides complimentary logs for the wood burner.
Only one hand towel and one bath towel are provided per person here, so you might want to bring your own for longer stays.
