About this home
You can watch the day and tidal changes unfold before you while you luxuriate in bed, make some breakfast or enjoy your first cuppa of the day, just drinking in the view.
Let’s not kid ourselves, the cottage is compact, but makes up for it in spades with character, cosiness and a very clever use of space.
Yes, the stairs are steep and somewhat of a challenge, but this is Norfolk coastal living in its truest form and all part of the experience.
When you’ve managed to stop staring at the view and divert your gaze indoors, you will find it just as pleasing on the eye. Cool and relaxing Scandi-style throughout with warmth from a flourish of colour here and there and a wood burning stove which is oh! so very lovely when lit on a frosty day and you just fancy snuggling up with a good film or book.
On the ground floor the kitchen is small but perfectly formed, and caters for all you will need, and the adjoining dual aspect sitting/dining room invites you to chill, chat and catch up.
Tackle the stairs to the first floor and you will find two lovely, comfy bedrooms (super-king/twin and a twin) plus a very smart bathroom.
Scale another sets of stairs to reach the top floor master bedroom suite – it’s so worth the climb – which really has the best view of all, and the glorious convenience of it’s own en-suite.
This is the perfect getaway for couples, or a small family, looking for both short and longer breaks.
There is a small courtyard with table and seating and charcoal barbecue.
Free roadside parking on nearby Clubbs Lane and Bases Lane, and some of the town’s other side roads as well as The Buttlands’ green.
Please note:
Only four adults permitted.
The stairs to both upper floors are steep and narrow and could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues, as well as young children.
