Just a short level walk away, Staithe Street is the hub of this colourful seaside town, with a plethora of independent shops, including boutiques, cafes, eateries, delis and a well-established local butcher.

The nearby picturesque Buttlands Green is surrounded by charming Georgian properties.

Take a seat here to soak up the ambience, or pop into one of the two hotels that overlook the green to enjoy a drink or meal.

Amble back down to the Quay to sample some of the best fish and chips in the area, or try your hand at gillying for crabs.

From the Quay, beautiful Wells beach is a mere fifteen minute walk away.
